St Joseph Secondary School of Gidel in Nuba Mountains concluded a two-day workshop to create a space for girls to learn, share and interact so that they can be better developed to help themselves and contribute to the society.
Facilitator Anisa Boutros says the workshop addressed all aspects of a girl’s life that helps her to discover and develop her natural strengths Voice of Peace Radio reports.
The workshop is for girls to grow up healthy, educated and independent through mentorship.
She adds that the workshop will build the confidence of girls to enhance their participation in the school and social activities and speak against physical and emotional harm.
Boutros also mentions that the workshop supports girls with skills and tactics on how to escape from pregnancy especially during their holidays.
The facilitator encourages community members, youth and government authorities to support girls in school for the betterment of a nation.
