UN AIDS in collaboration with the AIDS Commission is carrying out awareness campaign on HIV/AIDS in Wau town with focus on organized forces and their families.
UN AIDS Country Director Sophia Mukasa Monico recognizes the agency notice that there is very high risk of HIV/AIDs infection among the organized forces, Voice of Hope Radio.
She adds those who tests positive to the virus will be put on medication.
The official appeals to people infected with HIV/AIDS to continue taking their medicines in order to reduce the rate of the virus in their body.
The country director encourages people to know their status by visiting health facilities for testing.
