The Kingdom of Netherlands Ambassador to South Sudan hopes for speedy implementation of the Revitalised Peace Treaty.
 
CRN quotes Janet Alberda says citizens need to see peace and start the process of healing, believing that the agreement is complicated
 
Speaking during launch of the book Peace of South Sudan and revitalization by Dr James Okuk, she says the book will help in spreading background information on the agreement and have a public forum.
 
Dr Peter Adwok Nyaba during the panel discussion says the peace deal may not work because citizens do not want to speak up.
 
‘The problem of people of South Sudan is poverty, ignorance, illiteracy, which causes corruption and division along ethnicity’, he adds.
 
Assistant of Professor of Political Science at University of Juba, Jacob Dut Chol, urges the author to write about the positive peace that involves citizens.
 
He adds the positive peace is through the efforts of the people at grass roots.
 
The author of the book ‘Peace of South Sudan on Revitalization’, Dr James Okuk, advises parties to stick on the implementation though there is lack of political will.
 
The officials spoke during the launch of the book ‘Peace of South Sudan and Revitalization’ at University of Juba.
 
The book written by Dr James Okuk has five chapters and 208 pages, it talks about the revitalised peace agreement, link with the Sudan, heritage for peace institutions and quest for change.
