World Environment Day is important to keep the surrounding clean as every year on June 5th, the whole globe commemorates the day, says Wau Deputy Mayor.
Joseph Moses says through cleaning and gathering rubbish from the surrounding people can prevent diseases and preserve environment for future generation, Voice of Hope Radio reports.
Moses says they have already started their work as municipality to keep clean the surrounding.
He adds that through keeping borehole save, greens in the market and stop burning rubbish around, people can make good environment.
The official made his statements to Voice of Hope Radio on Wednesday morning.
