National Minister of Security is calling for good relations between the new Catholic Bishop of Torit and his priests in the Diocese.
General Kamilo Tafeng while delivering the message of General Isaac Mabuto Mamur Metee, says cooperation in the diocese will raise the standard of believers in considering the word of God as apriority in their daily lives.
Radio Emmanuel quoted Tapeng calling for strengthening of priests to preach the gospel to the entire family of the diocese.
‘Your lordship the newly consecrated bishop of Torit Diocese, General Mabuto Mamur is calling for the unity of the priests, is asking you to support this priests, the point number two Mabuto Mamur says the bishop must identify the leaders of the diocese, your Lordship will strengthen the weak, those who fallen innocent strengthen them to deliver for the people of the church, he reported.
General Tafeng says minister Mamur advises the new Bishop to maintain the spirit of helping the poor.
He appeals to Christians in the Diocese to encourage the Bishop in supporting him through offerings.
‘General Mamur asks you to raise the glory, see the hungry and this will bring continues harmony for the people of the church. He is asking the people of this diocese to support this Bishop with our offerings because if we see our new Bishop will succeed Ameyu we are mistaken, his failure according to him is the failure if the whole diocese on his absence, the success of the Bishop is the success of the Diocese’, General Tapeng emphasizes.
The representative to the minister of national security was speaking on Sunday during the consecration of Bishop Stephen Ameyu Martin Mullah for the Catholic Diocese of Torit at Sts Peter and Paul Cathedral.
