The Chief Executive Officer of Co-operative bank in South Sudan says negotiations with striking bank staff are ongoing to arrive at a settlement.
Elijah Wamalwa who doubles as the Managing Director of the bank says he is hopeful that the issue will be settled soon.
Elijah further assures clients that despite the strike, the bank is still serving the public with its normal services and there is no cause for panic.
Meanwhile, a representative from the Ministry of Labor Juma Yoane Kebi says a management bank official visited them to explain the issue. Hence there is need to listen to the other party which is the striking workers.
More than 100 national staff of Co-operative Bank of South Sudan is striking to ask for improved welfare.
The officials who started striking last week say, they will continue with the action until the administration meets their grievances.
