The Acting Governor of Yei River State on Monday urged teachers to play a role in ensuring that communities, students and young people understand the revitalized peace agreement.
Yusto Baba says communities will get information through the teachers and should overcome the challenges they faced, Radio Easter reports.
The acting governor adds that they will put into consideration other necessary demands of the teachers like regular payment of their salaries.
He says the pay system has to be arranged through the Ministry of Education.
The Acting Governor made the statement during the opening of the two-day teachers’ conference in Yei.
