CTSAMM reports of improvement in silencing of guns in South Sudan

Ceasefire and Transitional Security Arrangements Monitoring Mechanisms or CTSAMM confirms of improvement in silencing of guns in the country.

 

Chairman Major General Ibrahim Abduljelill while speaking during the second technical committee meeting in Khartoum says he is pleased to confirm maintenance of ceasefire in many parts of the country.

 

However he says there are still serious concerns about certain areas.

 

During the meeting the committee address issues such as their concept of operations, the terms of reference for the committee and the status of implementation of the permanent ceasefire.

 

The chairman reminds the group of the importance of their work to help ensure peace and stability is returned to South Sudan and to create an environment that will allow all the displaced people return to their homes.

 

He says the committee is a critical component of the ceasefire framework and they should not underestimate the seriousness of their work.
