Food gap growing in South Kordofan and Blue Nile, says agency

A humanitarian agency in Nuba Mountains region has released its monthly humanitarian report that growing food gap for over a million people in South Kordofan and Blue Nile as worsening.
 
It says that with post-harvest food stocks are declining, citizens are turning to markets to find their food needs, Voice of Peace reports.
 
The report says food prices are increasingly rising and scare in the markets.
 
The agency also notes that there has been rampant malnutrition in Delling. 
 
She calls for urgent assistance to the communities of the area.
 
It said that access to clinics in Blue Nile has been hampered by swamps and increase in water level which affects the quality of health services.
 
The humanitarian agency in a statement further says dozens of cattle have been infected by diseases.
 
It reports 59 deaths of cattle and 858 cases at a risk of dying in Talodi area of South Kordofan.
