Torit State Ministry of Health prepares plans of how to prevent and combat the probable cholera outbreak in the state.
As rainy season begins, Torit State Ministry of Health and partners have formed a committee named the communication technical working group or CTWG to prepare plans of how to prevent and combat any cholera outbreak in the state.
After the meeting, Social Mobilizer and Health Promotion Officer, Janet Orlando says the meeting aims at drawing cholera preparedness plan as well as mapping partners according to areas of coverage.
He adds that, health ministry and partners plan to send cholera supplies to counties before rains intensify because access to other counties will be impossible during heavy rains.
Orlando urges the population to keep hygiene to prevent cholera outbreak in the state.
She is pleased that the state did not register any cholera outbreak in the last three years.
