An Organization known as ‘Grass Root,’ supported by Food and Agriculture Organization or FAO has on Thursday distributed seeds to the local farmers in Tonj State.
The Organization has been supporting farmer’s groups since 2014 to fight hunger.
One of the facilitators, Moses Mayom Deng Wol says the Organization gives out different types of seeds, including beans, Sorghum and Okra.
He adds that the seeds will help those who do not know how to sustain seeds for long period.
Aker Korou one of the beneficiaries appreciates the government and the organization for supporting farmer’s activities in the country.
She appeals to her colleagues to make proper use of the seeds.
