Deliver in a health facility and keep your child healthy, says officer

A clinical officer in the department of preventing mothers to child Transmission at Yambio State Hospital is urging pregnant women to always deliver in the hospital to avoid mother to child transmission of HIV/AIDS.
 
Joyce Hingbango Edward calls on mothers to consider the future generation by giving birth in the hospital and follow the necessary instructions from the medical personnel. Anisa Radio reports.
 
She added that the mothers should not stop taking children for medication because the services that they are delivering are for free and no one should accept paying money for medication.
 
Ingbango discloses that since 2012, 1490 children have been successfully delivered at the hospital without getting the HIV virus.
 
Anna Elias, one of the positive mothers encourages other women not to stop taking their drugs because it can affect their life negatively.
 
Anna says she has been living positively with HIV/AIDS for the last ten years and bearing children who are not positive.
 
She urges mothers to take good care of their children because they are the future of tomorrow.
