The children at Moti Orphanage Center are hopping for peace to prevail in South Sudan in 2018.
The children say a peaceful environment will stabilize a proper education system in the country and bring about development, Radio Emmanuel reports.
Last year’s Christmas was better compared to 2016 and South Sudanese must have hope for peace in the New Year, they added.
Rose Nakiki, an orphan at the Centre calls on the warring parties to lay down their guns to stop bloodshed in the country.
Peter Lomogo, Director of Moti Orphanage Centre, urges the conflicting parties to receive the New Year with peace in their hearts for peaceful coexistence.
He says peaceful environment covers way to development in the country.
The speakers made the remarks during UNMISS visit at Moti Orphanage Centre in Torit in December last year.
