Imotong State Minister of Information is urging Christians to spend their full time in praying for peace in the country.
Radio Emmanuel quoted Margret Idwa Okuye saying South Sudanese have been longing for peace in the country and should continue to thirst for it in the New Year.
She says prayer is a fundamental factor for peace to prevail in the country.
Peace should start from within then extended to others, Idwa stresses.
She says anger cannot bring about lasting peace in the country.
Minister Idwa urges Christians to ask God to forgive the sins they have committed so as to live a happy life.
The minister was speaking during the New Year mass at Sts Peter and Paul in Torit on Monday.
