Local Government consults on services delivery in Wau

The State Ministry of Local Government, Law Enforcement and Parliamentary Affairs conducted a one-day consultative meeting with county commissioners on services delivery and their New Year plans.
 
Arkangelo Anyar Anyar says the meeting was to ensure to mutual relationship with local chiefs for better services delivery.
 
He calls on the government organs to respect traditional chiefs and handle them as local leaders on the ground.
 
The minister says the purpose of the meeting is to create relationship with the chiefs and ministry authority.
 
The ministry is ready to organize the forum for commissioners because it will address many issues, he pledges.
 
Minister Anyar also mentions that there is urgent need for councilors to oversee the work of commissioners for the success of services delivery in their counties.
 
He urges county commissioners to work together and unite for better service delivery to the people.
 
The meeting was a chance for local government to unify the work of commissioners in term of services delivery or implementation of the law, says Taban John Guu, Commissioner of Baggari County.
