Rumbek County Commissioner issued a local order removing all the roadblocks that lead to the town.
In the local order seen by Radio Good News on Wednesday, it states that anybody who violates the order shall be punished by law with a fine of 5000 South Sudanese Pounds and six months term in jail.
The order also prohibits random shooting and drinking of alcohol during traditional rites and marriage ceremonies.
According to the order, any violation will result to confiscation of firearm by security forces and shall not be returned to the owner.
”Random shooting may cause panic and involvement of criminals to take advantage of the scene,” it adds.
According to the letter, any woman found brewing local alcohol will be arrested and served one month in prison with a fine of 2,000 South Sudanese Pounds.
