A Member of Parliament in Gbudue State is begging teachers to bear with the current situation facing them in South Sudan and commit to their profession.

Moses Samson says the role of a teacher is to educate the children because they are the future generation, Radio Anisa reports.

He says the young generation should get the necessary knowledge and skills for better South Sudan.

Samson says the government is working hard to solve the issue of teachers’ salaries.

He says he visited Nzara Secondary School to know the challenges facing the teachers and to find some solutions.

Samson mentions lack of teachers as the major issue raised by the school administration.

The MP urges citizens to change from the culture of war to peace.

Samson served as a teacher for more than 24 years and was later appointed as a Member of Gbudue State transitional legislative Assembly this year.

The MPs have been sent for three months recess to talk to their constituencies to assess the problems facing citizens.
