President Salva Kiir Mayardit has promised to modernize health sector in South Sudan and make treatment affordable for all the citizens.
Speaking this morning at the inauguration of expansion project of Juba teaching hospital, Kiir says health situation in South Sudan has witnessed a lot of challenges.
But with the help of partners today the health sector has improved.
He stresses the commitment of his government at all level to elevate and improve the health situation in the country.
President Kiir adds that his dream is to witness an affordable health care service available to all South Sudanese. He believes, seeking treatment abroad is expensive.
Kiir reiterates the commitment of his government in working towards achieving lasting peace in the country. He urged the International Community to support the peace efforts in the South Sudan.
He appreciates the support offered by the Chinese government and all the other health partners for their friendly support to the people of South Sudan.
