More than 150 IDPs from Kpaile County of Wau state have arrived Agok village on Thursday in dire humanitarian situation.
Speaking to Voice of Hope Radio in Agok, the IDPs said they have no food to eat and no medicines for sick people. That is why; they said they decided to come closer to the town so they get services.
Other IDPs said they walked for days in the bush in order to arrive Agok.
Peter Monylet Deng, chief of Agok area welcomes the IDPs and assures them their safety. Deng donated one sack of sorghum to help the children.
He says the IDPs will stay at Agok hospital temporary until the government prepares a place for them in the coming days.
Michael Ricardo Ugali Commissioner of Kpaile County welcomes the IPDs and appeals to the humanitarian agencies to response urgently in order to save the lives of the IDPs especially the children.
He says he has received 159 people most of them are women and children.
Commissioner Ricardo advised the IDPs to stay at Agok area because there is a fertile land for cultivation since the rain season is not yet over.
