Women Aid Vision in partnership with United Nations Development Programs or UNDP concluded one-day inter-county commissioners’ forum on Tuesday in Rumbek, Western Lakes State.
Vision Deputy Program Manager Kasim Modi says the conference is a follow up of the adapted resolutions made in the previous peace dialogues, Radio Good News reports.
The conference brought together eight commissioners, eight police inspectors from three states of Eastern, Western and Amadi, he adds.
Modi says the resolutions were to prevent rape, prevalent of illegal guns in the hands of civilians.
The recommendations call for end to illegal selling of cows along the borders to avoid fueling conflict in three states, he adds.
Managar Matoc Machar, Commissioner of headquarters, appreciates Women Aid Vision and UNDP for engaging communities’ to peacefully co-exist as one people.
