South Sudan Red Cross says it is currently sponsoring one hundred and fifty-four vulnerable youth in two vocational schools in Juba.

Ozo James, Red Cross Youth Development Officer Juba branch, told Radio Bakhita on Tuesday that the youth comprises of males and females.

He adds that young people are undertaking their courses at Juba Technical School and South Sudan Older People’s Organization for three months.

James says the training on building, auto mechanics, electrical installation, catering and tailoring aims to make young people self-reliance.

The three months training would not be enough according to the school tutors, says the officer.

He states that they are planning to sponsor more young people if they receive some money from donors.

The exercise would be extended to other areas once the security is stable, James adds.
