Internal Displaced Persons or IDPs in the Catholic Cathedral of Wau complain of not receiving food ratios from World Food Program or WFP for nearly three months.

Some of IDPs who spoke to Radio Voice of Hope say last year, they were getting all basic services on time, but in March this year, the situation started to change.

They ask that they wanted to know if WFP has stopped giving food to them in the Cathedral because some camps are receiving while they are not.

One of the IDPs, John Cornelio Ugoro, says their living condition is deteriorating.

He complains that some children are getting sick due to poor hygiene and lack of food which affects their education.

Another IDP says if the government needs them to return home, they should clear first those who may beat them and loot their properties on the ways.

Some IDPs are willing to return home to cultivate, but they have nothing in their hands and the presence of soldiers in the area has made it impossible, says a displaced person.

She asks the government to remove soldiers from the area and improve the security situation for people to return home and cultivate.

Efforts to reach WFP for comment were unsuccessful.
