The Council of State has summoned the national Minister of Health and the Governor of Kapoeta over the dead of fifteen children in the state due to mistake in measles vaccination.
Mary Ayen Majok, Chairperson of Gender, Peace and Reconciliation Committee in the Council says Minister Riek Gai Kok and Governor Louis Lobong Lojore would answer questions on the incident.
She earlier expresses sadness for the dead of the innocent children.
The chairperson says the two top officials are called because they are responsible of what happened.
Contaminated vaccine caused death to fifteenth children in Nachodokopele Village of Kapoeta East County as announced by the Ministry of Health, World Health Organization and UNICEF last week.
Evidence after investigations indicates that the vaccination team did not adhere to the WHO-approved immunization safety standards.
