South Sudan first exhibition for local products is starting on Tuesday in Juba under the theme: ‘Together promoting South Sudan business and industrial development’.
The five-day show brings together factories, manufacturers, handcrafts and homemade producers.
The exhibition is to exchange experiences to export local products to other countries, says Christine Eugene Yenak, Director in the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
Christine adds that the exhibition will display local products which are well made in the country for people to know there are goods made at home.
She cites reluctance of local exhibitors to turn up for registration as their main challenge.
The numbers of the exhibitors has increased from sixty to one hundred, she discloses.
The Director reveals the exhibition will annually continue to take lead in export.
