Monitor your children as parents to know why they are loitering at night hours, says a local chief of Yeridan Zone residential area in Yei River State.
Emmanuel Batal urges the people of Yei to report idle youths and those moving at night, Radio Easter reports.
He observes that those who are sleeping more than three to four people in one house are the once causing problems in the community.
He calls on the government to come up with ways on how to engage the youth to work to avoid idleness.
Batal says when youth are idle; they can easily plan and do criminal activities.
The chief was speaking to Radio Easter in an interview on Friday in Yei.
