The internally displaced persons or IDPs who travelled from Abyei to Aweil due to conflicts ask donors to give more food aid.

Abdallah Hassan Suleiman one of the IDPs complains that fifteen kilograms given by UN World Food Program or WFP to five members in a household is not enough for fifteen days, Radio Bakhita reports.

Mazda Abdul Kherim Muhammad, another IDP, says in their group of more than one hundred people, they lost some children on the way and other three children died on their arrival to Aweil.

She explains how they suffered on their six days’ journey to Aweil.

Currently, WFP in partnership with World Vision, Concern Worldwide and Smile Africa are supplying food to more than eight hundred thirty thousand people in Aweil.

The IDPs appealed to the three agencies from Japan, Sweden and Germany who visited Aweil this week to increase food supplies and provide them with shelter.
