Community Empowerment for Progress Organization or CEPO has trained 35 community members to report cases of sexual and gender-based violence, says Communications Officer.
James Bidal told Radio Bakhita on Tuesday that the members’ reports through technology will improve documentation, advocacy, civic engagement and programming response in the country.
He believes the presence of the telecommunication companies will make the initiative effective.
Joseph James, Deputy Chairperson of Juba City Council Youth Union expresses readiness to put the knowledge into practice.
The participants were drawn from Juba City, Kator and Munuki Payams.
Last week, CEPO selected 14 members of organized forces for training to handle the cases of sexual and gender-based violence.
