Wau State government calls for an end to the daily increase of prices by traders in various markets.

The call came on Saturday during a meeting with the Union of Transport and Traders, Radio Voice of Hope reports.

Akol Majok, State Minister of Finance says the meeting discussed quick increase of prices in the market.

He directed security agents to clear out road blocks from Anet to Wau starting from Monday.

The minister told the traders to ask for the receipts when asked to pay at road blocks.

One of the traders told the government that the increase of the prices is because of road blocks and unnecessary taxes where they pay more than 5,000 SSP per a car.

Wau Mayor Mel Aleu Goc urges the traders to list difficulties facing them and present them to the Municipal authorities.
