Fr Noel Ogwagu says most of the people forget their families and start their day by drinking alcohol, Radio Emmanuel reports.
He urges Christians to rise up spiritually and use their energy in a productive way in the society.
The priest advises the faithful not to take alcohol excessively because it is dangerous to health.
Fr Ogwagu was preaching at Our Lady of Holy Rosary Parish on Sunday.
