Al Sohid Kuwait Investment Company has started its work of cutting teak log in Maridi State.
State Government Spokesperson Peter Saki says investors from Kuwait and Egypt have also started its operations in Ibba County, Radio Bakhita reports.
The company last year signed a memorandum of understanding with state authorities and began to work on the ground this year, he adds.
Saki says the company is also planning to begin investing on agriculture.
The Spokesperson confirms that the security situation in the area is favoring the activities of the company.
