The strike action by the general assembly of South Sudan Judges and Justices has affected court cases, says Director of Public Prosecutions in the Ministry of Justice.

Filberto Mayuot Mareng says several criminal cases awaiting trials have been stopped, Radio Bakhita reports.

He describes it as ‘very unfortunate’.

Mayuot made the statement during the inauguration ceremony of James Mayen, the newly appointed Undersecretary in the ministry.
