President Kiir appoints new Deputy Chief of Defense

President Kiir has issued a decree appointing the new Deputy Chief of Defense Force.
 
In a decree read over South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation on Tuesday, President Salva Kiir appointed Lieutenant General Malek Ruben Riek as Deputy Chief of Defense and Inspector General of SPLA.
 
Ateny Wek Ateny, Presidential spokesperson confirms the appointment of army high commands to Radio Bakhita on Wednesday.
 
Ateny says the soldiers appreciate the Commander-in-Chief for the changes in the army.
 
In the same decrees, Ateny says the President relieved Ronald Ruai Deng and appointed Yuorno Wol Kuot, Governor of Aweil State.
 
He criticizes former Deputy Governor of Lol State Lual Dau Marach for accusing the president while resigning.
 
The Commander-in-Chief appointed Lieutenant General Dr Malual Ayom Dor Assistant Chief of Defence Force for Operations, Training and Military Intelligence.
 
He assigned Lieutenant General Mangar Buong Alueng, Assistant Chief of Defence Force for Administration, Personnel and Finance and Lieutenant General Gabriel Jok Riak became Assistant Chief of Defence Force for Logistics and Procurement.
 
The Commander-in-Chief put Lieutenant General Marial Chinoung Yol to lead the Ground Forces and Lieutenant General Johnson Juma Okot became his deputy.
 
Lieutenant General Charles Lam Chol was appointed Chief of the Air Force and Defence deputized by Lieutenant General James Kong Kong.
 
Lieutenant General James Gai Yoah was assigned the command of Riverain Units.
 
President Salva Kiir Mayardit earlier replaced General Paul Malong Awan with General James Ajongo Mawut.
