National Dialogue consultative meeting begins in Rumbek

Voluntary Civil Society Taskforce on the Implementation of Peace Agreement and civil society organizations in Rumbek began National Dialogue consultative meeting on Tuesday.
 
Peter Malir Biar, Voluntary Civil Society Taskforce representative describes the dialogue as an important component that can support the agreement, Radio Good News reports.
 
He says the initiative will open a space for grassroots communities to dialogue, heal and resolve differences among themselves.
 
Malir urges South Sudanese to stop violence and use dialogue as an important tool that will lead people to achieve lasting peace in the country.
 
Western Lakes State Speaker Marik Nanga Marik encourages people to use national dialogue to resolve local misunderstandings that resulted into conflict.
 
The two-day National Dialogue consultative meeting drew together over thirty participants from different civil society organizations in Rumbek.
