Rumbek citizens are experiencing fuel shortage in the town as all petrol stations operating in the state ran out of fuel leaving hundreds of vehicles off road.

Many disappointed Boda-boda riders in Rumbek town say petrol shortage is hindering private and public activities in the state.

Shortage of fuel is caused by poor supply of petrol from Juba to the state, says John Lueth Weljang, Acting Director of Supply and Commerce told Radio Good News.

The Acting Director says absence of petrol at stations always encourages black market dealers to sell their fuel at high prices.

Authorities in Rumbek last year condemned the sale of fuel in the black market and along roadside of the town.
