The youth of Lower Karga in Heiban County of Nuba Mountains reopened a community school that closed down last year in the area.
The school resumed to reduce overcrowding in private schools, Radio Voice of Peace reports.
A teacher at the youth initiated school, Veronica Bashir, argues that the community was unwilling to support the institute and many want to take their children to church schools.
The teacher advises youth to embrace self-reliance to help develop education activities.
Veronica says people may not afford the expensive fees of the private schools in the long run.
