The Catholic Parish of Saints Peter and Paul in the Nuba Mountains celebrated Saint Daniel Comboni on Sunday.
Father Deogratius Minja told the crowd in church that each one is called to be a saint saying a saint is a person who accepts detachment from the things of the world, Radio Voice of Peace reports.
He says Saint Daniel Comboni is among those God gave good spirit to preach the good news to the world especially in Africa.
Fr Minja says many saints had served different professions as clerics, parents, teachers or doctors.
The priest adds that Jesus invites Christians to heaven but holiness is beyond human expectation.
Fr Minja calls on faithful to overcome difficulties that block them from Christian life.
He says that many saints like Daniel Comboni went through a lot of challenges but did not give up.
The priest urges Christians to imitate Saint Daniel Comboni.
