A local hospital is treating two cases of snake bites in Heiban County of the Nuba Mountains.
A 50-year-old woman and a ten-year-old child are receiving medication after they were bitten by snakes in different incidents.
A nurse in charge of Children Ward in the Hospital, Stephen Saied told Radio Voice of Peace that snakes are dangerous and their cases should be treated urgently.
He advised communities to bring such cases for quick treatment at hospitals or health centres.
Meanwhile Eliah Kunar Shangero a Nurse in the hospital said there are a lot of snakes during rainy season.
He encouraged communities to put on lights at night to ensure the house and entire home environment is secured
The same hospital treated similar cases last months.
