Yei officials call for continuous demolition around schools

Officials in Yei Municipality are calling on the authorities to keep on demolishing houses and shops near schools.
 
The call came after Municipal authorities started demolishing buildings near Jigomoni Primary School on Saturday, Radio Easter reported.
 
Inspector of Schools, James Sebit Laruba, said getting rid of congestion near schools will save learners from harmful activities.
 
Assistant Commissioner of Gender, Child and Social Welfare in Yei, Victoria Nasera, said destroying some lodges will keep children away from prostitution and drug abuse.
 
Mayor Bidali Cosmas Wori-Kojo, his deputy Azariah Khamis and other officials witnessed the exercise.
