Yei Catholic Diocese closes year of Consecrated Life

Yei Catholic diocese officially closed the Year of Consecrated Life with a Eucharistic celebration on Tuesday.
 
The occasion started with a procession from outside Christ the King Cathedral where Christians lit candles as a sign of welcoming Jesus into their lives.
 
Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe urges Christians to spiritually renew their lives, Radio Easter reports.
 
He also calls on Christians to pray for religious women and men who offered their lives to serve God’s people and the church.
 
The bishop emphasizes on the need for more young people to join the seminary and convent to become priests and sisters.
 
The closure of the year of consecrated life and the family coincides with the feast on the presentation of Lord Jesus in the temple.
 
Two years ago, Pope Francis opened the year of consecrated life.
