The Sudan People’s Liberation Movement, SPLM convention which was due to take place on December 12 is postponed to January 2016.

The adjournment is due to technical issues, SPLM Information Secretary, Bol Makueng tells the media.

Makueng says the extension will give the organizing body more time to prepare for reception of party delegates to the convention.

SPLM members who attended the second national convention in 2008 will be eligible to participate.

However, it is unclear whether the SPLM-IO will attend the January event.
