A fire allegedly caused by electricity burned to ashes Rumbek State Hospital Blood bank on Monday.
It was too late to save most of the equipment inside the bank, Medical Director Barnaba Bol Amukpiu told Radio Good News.
The Director says the accident has led to a complete shutdown of the blood bank services.
He hopes Lakes State Minister for Health who went to Khartoum, Sudan after the incident, will work out ways of reviving it.
Dr Bol urges the public to be patient until the blood bank is re-established.
