Wildlife authorities investigate killing of oldest Hippo in Jur River

Wildlife authorities in Western Bahr El Ghazal State are investigating killing of one of its oldest Hippos in the Jur River.
 
Radio Voice of Hope reports that Mabior Urung Urac Wildlife Director in Wau says the hippo believed to be 40 years old was shot three days ago, but died on Tuesday.
 
He calls on the citizens to respect the wildlife resources because they can bring revenues to the country.
 
Urung says this is the second hippo killed in Jur River in less than three years.
 
He says the culprits will face justice.
