Professor Akolda dies in Kampala

The chairperson of the National Constitutional Review Commission died in Kampala, Uganda.
 
Professor Akolda Ma’an Tier passed away on Monday night after a short illness, says John Natana Abraham, the Commission Secretary-General.
 
He explains that the late Professor was in Kampala to process visa to travel to Germany for advanced medical care,.
 
The Secretary-General describes the late Professor Akolda as an icon and his death as a great loss.
 
Professor Akolda hails from Cueibet County of Lakes State.
 
Paul Majuec Ben Deng, a close relative says the late Professor was the pride of the area and the country entirely.
 
Majuec regrets that Professor Akolda is not survived by any child or wife.
 
But, the relative believes all those he graduated are his children.
 
Contemporaries describe Professor Akolda as impartial and truthful in handling matters of the National Constitutional Review Commission.
