UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador raises 400, 000 Dollars for new classrooms

One thousand girls and boys have access to new education facilities now in Western Equatoria.
 
The access to new classrooms comes after UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, Tetsuko Kuroyanagi and Japanese government raised 400 thousand US Dollars for construction of a new school in 2013.
 
Zereda Nursery and Primary School, the new school is now teaching girls and boys from all over the country.
 
UNICEF in partnership with Western Equatoria State Ministry of Education built eight new classrooms.
 
They trained 13 new teachers.
 
The government of Japan funded sanitation facilities and water points.
