The Assembly chaired by the speaker, Alberio Tobiolo Oromo, recommends strong measures against expired goods to protect consumers, Radio Emmanuel reports.
A member of the parliament, Rhino Arungole, notes that traders change the bags of expired goods before selling them to avoid being discovered.
The assembly also recommends inspection of commodities to curb selling harmful commodities.
The parliament on Tuesday discussed a report of specialize committee on the policy statement of state ministry of Commerce, Investment and Industry.
Committee chairperson Fr Dominic Otwar Theodore presented the report.
