United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization or UNESCO in partnership with Collaboration on International ICT Policy in East and South Africa or CIPESA recommends South Sudan to establish Internet Society with their support.

Communication & Information Specialist Lydia Gachungi discloses the recommendation to CRN in an interview after two-day Internet Freedom Forum in Kampala, Uganda.

She explains that the Internet Society is meant to bring all South Sudanese stakeholders from the Ministry of Telecommunication and development partners who are willing to support the Internet Society to provide a platform.

Specialist Gachungi says discussions in the proposed society should be inclusive.
