Lightning strike on Monday killed at least eight goats in Kumu Fog area of Kumbur Payam under Umdurdu Administrative Unit in Heiban County of Nuba Mountains.
An anonymous source told Voice of Peace that a hut where the goats were sheltering was burned to ashes and that during the incident the owner of animals is still missing.
Lightning strike is increasingly becoming common in the Nuba Mountains since the beginning of the rainy season.
Last August, eight goats and two pigs were killed in the lightning strike in Kumu Fog.
Meanwhile heavy rainstorms continue to destroy crops in many parts of the Nuba Mountains since August.
