A citizen of Wonduruba who visited the devastated area and internally displaced persons in Lainya County appeals to the government to allow humanitarian organizations to reach the area to help the victims.

Ambrose Lomin told CRN on Monday in Juba after returning from Wonduruba that the situation is worrying and the absence of the Local government make the people on the ground to fear.

He lamented that insecurity in Wonduruba is forcing the IDPs to seek for resettlement, calling for respect to ceasefire President Salva Kiir and Riek Machar declared after signing peace agreement in August.

Mr Lomin who is also a parishioner of St Josephine Bakhita Wonduruba Parish recalled the suffering of the people in Lainya and how shops were looted forcing the few people at home to rely on Church’s support.

Reports indicate that 11,044 people of Wonduruba are displaced to Lainya County lacking food, shelter, clean water and medical services.
