South Sudan on Monday joined the world in commemorating International Peace Day under the theme: ‘Partnership for peace-dignity for all’.
United Nations or UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon in a statement read by his Special Envoy to South Sudan Ellen Margrethe Loej calls on warring parties to lay down their weapons and embrace peace, Radio Bakhita reported.
He also urges South Sudanese to stop killing and destruction but live harmoniously with each other in the country.
