Imurok community youth on Saturday elected their leaders in a democratic exercise at Enyif playground in Torit town.
Election Committee Secretary Lodovico Oryem declared Imoya Anisa chairperson with 58 votes deputized by Stephen Ohide who scored 35 ballots, Radio Emmanuel reported.
Okee Philip Angelo won the position of secretary with 80 votes while Guido Omudak got 23 ballots to be the deputy secretary.
Susan Lodovico took the position of the treasure with 65 votes while Rose Anthony becomes her deputy with 22 votes, James Obur obtained 87 votes and became information secretary deputized by Richard Ofuho and other four contestants were absorbed as members of the youth committee.
Imurok Youth Committee outgoing chairperson Jacob Babur praised the elected members, advising them to cooperate in their work for the success of the community.
The incoming chairperson Imoya Anisa thanks the members for trusting her by casting their votes for a challenging position.
She calls for spirit of team work in order to address challenges that affect the community and encourage members to have the spirit of love, peace and unity in order to attract development in the area.
Fr Auxilio Odume, who presided over the election, commended the losers for accepting defeat, calling it free and fair play.
He urges the youth of Imurok Payam to reconcile, bring peace and unity to pave way for development.
